Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Email address (from GitHub OAuth)
  • GitHub username and public profile information
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)

Resume Data

  • Information you provide in your resume (work history, skills, education)
  • Job descriptions you submit for tailoring
  • Generated resumes and cover letters

GitHub Data

  • Public repository information you choose to connect
  • Commit messages and contribution statistics
  • We do NOT access your private repositories or source code

How We Use Your Information

  • To generate and tailor your resumes
  • To analyze your GitHub contributions for resume enhancement
  • To process payments and provide customer support
  • To send transactional emails (welcome, receipts)
  • To improve our service through anonymized analytics

Data Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (AES-256)
  • GitHub access tokens are encrypted before storage
  • We use Supabase for secure database hosting
  • Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Stripe - for payment processing
  • Anthropic - for AI-powered resume generation (anonymized prompts)
  • Vercel - for hosting infrastructure
  • Supabase - for database and authentication

Your Rights

  • Access: Request a copy of your data
  • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data
  • Portability: Export your data in a standard format
  • Correction: Update or correct your information

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes (e.g., payment records).

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (PostHog, Umami) to understand how our service is used. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings.
